Noble Academic Society PROCLAMATION OF MISSION

Our Mission is to be leaders in Human and community development; establishing a Smart Growth pattern, innovatively solving problems that impede Human and community growth, environmentally, personally and collectively.

The Moorish American Community Upliftment Association consistently demonstrates plans for the betterment of mankind, teaching those things necessary that make our people better citizens. In our eleemosynary work, we encourage those through example that our social, moral, and economic condition can be better.

Our fundamental principles of action are obedience to Law, respect and loyalty to government, tolerance and unity. With these principles of action we can bring about a positive change in uplifting humanity. The Moorish American Community Upliftment Association members; teachers, civic leaders, religious leaders, leaders in the entertainment industry and proactive citizens, all have credentials and are certified in various academic fields. We are putting those resources to the best and most efficient use to bring about more cohesion in the political life of our community. Some pertinent certifications in this changing and volatile environment are; CERT certified through FEMA & the Department of Homeland Security, qualified in emergency preparedness and response, etc.

MOORISH AMERICAN COMMUNITY UPLIFTMENT ASSOCIATION engages-our community by:

‘Direct Engagement’ by polling the current censes of the problems facing our community from home owners, voters, business owners living in the direct community, we will pin point the community obstacles and create imitate plans of relief to meet those needs. Also establishing a direct platform liaison to the current representatives in our community, for better clarification of those needs and making sure there met. Thereby improving the quality of life in the neighborhoods and making the streets safer for everybody.

Addressing transportation issues and educating the communities in emergency preparedness both ecclesiastical and secular; by partnering with the Fire Department, The Police Department, FEMA, and The Department of Homeland Security.

Reintroducing the fundamentals of ethics, morals, and values that lead to a community with integrity.

Educating civic responsibilities; voter registration, volunteerism for regional elections and the responsibility of citizenship. Also promoting Active Citizenship.

Went to City Hall to speak on L.A.'s budget to proclaim That (Moorish Americans) our free National Standards (Economic Development) program's are addressed and instituted also with basic needs more library's in our district....We were received very well.

CURRENT PROJECTS WE ARE SEEKING FUNDING AND DONATIONS FOR ARE:

· Community emergency/disaster awareness education.

· Earthquake preparedness education.

· Neighborhood Restoration & Beautification project where we partner with local schools and cultural organizations.

· HTML & Web Design Classes.

· Spanish as a second language class.

· Senior, Disabled, & Special Needs Disaster Prepardness Support and Assistance Education.

· Youth Empowerment and Activities Project.

· Hand Radio Instruction class.

Noble Academic Society integrity in dealing with the Private and Public sectors of communities is in impeccable. We navigate the higher course of being a benefit to all. We are trying to uplift fallen humanity, those who have fallen to a state; in their consideration, understanding and tolerance and suffer from social and economic clarification to benefit themselves and others in the new global economy emerging today.
